Ycats offers a kind of fellowship that keeps today’s youth engaged and allows them to socialize in a wholesome environment. My daughter has been dancing with the group for eight years and no matter how difficult it gets at times, she always wants to be a part of it. This, I believe, speaks volumes, as teenagers tend to do what they find easiest. I also enjoy the opportunity to see many of the parents and girls that have become close to me over time, but due to daily life and varying schedules are unable to meet up otherwise. Ycats keeps my daughter grounded and has taught her to respect herself and others. She has learned that each person is different but those differences can be put together to create something beautiful! We have great love for our Artistic Director who knows what we all can do even when we doubt ourselves and knows how to inspire us to get it done well. Team work truly makes the dream work as is evident by the annual production which provides an opportunity for each to show how much they have improved over time. My young adult son helps out every year simply because he believes it worth it and for many it provides a different form of family time as well. The charity aspect is always a good reminder that everything the Lord blesses us with can be shared to help uplift others, even our time and talents.
